Scenic Japan - Weekly Departure

Depart from your preferred airport for a scheduled flight to Tokyo.

Arrive in Japan, where you are met by our Tour Assistant and transferred to Tokyo by Airport Limousine bus or train. 

The rest of the day is at your leisure to adjust to the 9 hours time difference.

After breakfast enjoy a full day Guides tour of Tokyo visiting Tokyo Tower, Imperial Palace, Asakusa Sensoji Temple and Nakamise. We then travel to Omotesando and Harajuku areas of Tokyo, before returning to our hotel by subway.

Free overland luggage transfer from Tokyo direct to Kyoto (1 large bag per person). You will need an overnight bag for your stay in Takayama.

Today we transfer to Hakone with our guide on the Bullet train. We then enjoy a scenic full day tour of Hakone by coach. Enjoy panoramic views of Mount Fuji (weather permitting). We travel on the Owakudani ropeway cable car and enjoy a cruise on lake Ashi.  Lunch will be provided in Hakone.

At around 16:00, we transfer to Takayama via Nagoya with our guide by bullet train. Upon arrival in Takayama (around 20:00), we walk to our hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Takayama (9:00-15:00) on foot. We explore the morning market, Yatai Kaikan, Jinya house, Kusakabe Folk museum. Relax for dinner at a local restaurant (Hida Beef speciality).

We start todays guided tour by visiting Shirakawago by private car. Enjoy a stroll around Shirakawago village and see a traditional Gasshozukuri farmhouse with its unique shaped 'pray roof'. 

Later we transfer by car to Kanazawa and visit Kenrokuen garden, which is regarded as one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan. We then explore the Samurai district and visit a traditional Samurai house. Late afternoon we transfer to Kanazawa station, where you take the direct express train Kyoto (no guide on train). Upon arrival at Kyoto station you will be met by our Meeting Assistant who will take you to your nearby hotel.

Breakfast at your hotel. Full day guided sightseeing tour of Kyoto using private car. We visit the famous Kinkakuji Temple (Golden pavilion) and Kiyomizu Temple majestically perch on the hillside overlooking Kyoto.

Later we visit Nijo Castle, the home of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Finally we explore the traditional Gion district of Kyoto, where you may see Geisha rushing to a dinner appointment. Tour disband in Gion, wher you can enjoy dinner on your own. Your guide will inform you how to get back to your hotel.

Full day sight-seeing tour of Nara using public transport. We travel to Nara by train with your guide. Upon arrival we visit Nara Deer Park, Todaiji Temple housing the Great Buddha in the worlds largest wooden building, Kofukuji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shinto Shrine. Return to Kyoto by train with your guide.

You will be transferred to the futuristic Kansai International Airport in Osaka for your departure flight homeward.
