Ultimate Korea

Upon arrival at airport in Seoul, you are met and transferred to your Hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.(check-in after 14:00)

After breakfast you will be picked upon at your hotel for a half day seat in coach DMZ (Demilitarised Zone tour). 

We will visit the Unification Bridge, DMZ Theatre and exhibition hall,  3^rd Infiltration Tunnel & Mt.Dora Observatory. Visit a Ginseng or Amethyst shop. Drop off at Itaewon street.

Afternoon free for shopping.

After breakfast, you will be pick up at your hotel lobby & be transferred to the airport for your flight to Jeju island. Expected flight KE1211 09:25 - 10:30 SEOUL-JEJU (subject to availability at the time of issuing)

Upon arrival you will meet your tour guide and then we head to *Yongduam Rock (Dragon Head Rock) and admire the majestic rock formations and deep-blue waters. Afterward we continue to Halla Arboretum to see 909 kinds of native trees and subtropical plants. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon we enjoy a variety of performances with Korean classical music. We continue to Yakchunsa Temple, which is the largest in the East and contains 30,000 buddha statues.

*** In case that you arrive at Jeju later than above meeting time, you will be transferred to hotel to take a rest.

After Breakfast we enjoy a full day of sightseeing including Visiting Cheonjeyeon Falls (The Pond of God), Gyulimseong tangerine farm and an optional scenic cruise aboard the Seogwipo Pleasure Boat (optional, US$18pp).

Stop for lunch at a local restaurant. We then visit ‘Spirited Garden’, recognized as one of the most beautiful garden in the world by the press and renowned guests from around the world. Complete the day with a walk along the shores of Yongmeori Beach. (if closed we visit Sangbanggulsa cave instead). Dinner on your own and transfer to your hotel.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel and then transfer to Seopjikoji – One of the most mysterious sights in Jeju Island, where you can enjoy trekking on the Olle path. Visit Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, World Heritage designated by UNESCO. Next, step back in time as you explore the Seongeup Folk Village, renowned for perfectly preserving Korean traditions. This village also boasts many cultural landmarks, such as Confucian shrines and schools, millstones, and more. Have a lunch at a local restaurant.

If time permits, we will visit the Museum of Natural and stop by a Korean Jewellery Amethyst and local product store. Transfer back to Jeju Airport and Fly to our next destination Busan. Transfer to hotel upon arrival.

Meet your guide after breakfast and we transfer to Gyeongju, a museum without walls. Gyeongjiu was the capital of Korea in the Silla Dynasty for about 1000 years and contains a vast amount of significant historical artefacts.

Afterwards we visit Gyeongju National Museum, & Cheomgseongdae Astronomical Observatory. We then explore Seokguram Grotto (UNESCO world heritage), which is a stone temple made of granite and located on the eastern peak of Mt. Toham.

Our final stop is the magnificent Bulguksa Temple, another UNESCO world heritage designated building. Move to Daegu city for an overnight stay.

Today we visit the magnificent Haeinsa Temple located in Gayasan National Park and Tripitaka Koreana, which is composed of 81,341 printing woodblocks made to repulse the Mongolian Army. 

Afterwards we transfer to Andong Hahoe Folk Village, which has preserved the traditional architecture and culture of the Joseon Dynasty. Moreover, the Village is not artificially created and  people actually live there. 

Finally, we transfer to Sokcho, a port of fishing boats and commercial ships. Check in to our hotel located close to Sokcho seashore.

After breakfast, we move to Seoraksan National Park, which is South Korea’s most famous and beautiful national park. The park is UNESCO world heritage designated, due to being the home of so many rare species. 

We visit Sinheungsa Temple located in Mt.Seorak, which is an ancient temple with deep historical significance, built by a great monk Jajangyulsa (590~658).

(Optional Gwongeumseong Cable Car ride –USD15.00pp). Gwongeumseong is a site of castle ruins located on the steep Mountain of Seoraksan National Park area. After sightseeing of Seoraksan National Park, we move to Seoul, arriving around 18:00 pm. Our guide will help you arrive at your centrally located hotel.

The full day city tour provides a fascinating insight into both ancient and modern Korea 

We pass by Jogyesa Temple and visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, watch the Royal Guard changing ceremony, Explore the National Folk museum, Korean Ginseng centre or Amethyst shop. 

Later we visit the Korean Folk Village (1.50hr drive) and experience the culture of the late Joseon Dynasty. 

The village provides a unique glimpse into the diverse architectural structures of the wealthy aristocrats and humbled dwelling of farmers. The huge reconstructed village has over 260 different types of traditional houses, typical of each Provence in Korea. Return to Seoul.
